Students at Rebecca Boone Elementary School celebrated Reading Is Fun Week Feb. 27 through March 3.A number of community members volunteered to read books for students throughout the week, and the school held an assembly Thursday for students and teachers to play games in celebration of the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Students dressed up each day of the week for different themes based on Dr. Seuss books.Students also participated in a book drive donating books to benefit the Paws for Reading program. The program places dogs in classrooms and libraries as an incentive for children to read more books and improve their reading skills.
