Several more candidates filed prior to Tuesday's deadline for the April 6 municipal election. There will be a three-way race for Wright City mayor after David Heiliger filed in the past week and entered the race. He will challenge incumbent Roy White, who is finishing his first term, and former Alderman Bill Schaffer. In Ward 1, incumbent Jim Schuchmann will be opposed by Danny Campbell. Three people are vying for the Ward 2 seat, including incumbent Angie Reynolds, Bill Stinson and James Justice. In Warrenton, all three alderman seats will be contested. In Ward 1, Dan Dieckmann recently filed and will square off against incumbent Jerry Cullom and John Cornell. The Ward 2 race pits incumbent Fred Flake against Wayne Smith, while incumbent Jim Dreyer will face Don Broering in Ward 3. In Innsbrook, incumbent Les Buechele, John "Mike" Gambill and Stan Price are running for two seats on the board. In Marthasville, incumbents Jim Struckhoff and Leo Tobben filed prior to the deadline and will run unopposed for seats they currently hold in the East Ward and Southwest Ward, respectively. Also running uncontested are incumbents Rhonda Colombo and Shalene Blackwood for two alderman seats in Truesdale. For the Warren County R-III School Board, incumbent Jan Sutherland, Scott Costello, Cliff Tucker and Anne Edwards are running for two seats. There will be no race for two vacancies on the Wright City R-II School Board since incumbents Austin Jones and Mary Groeper were the only candidates to file.
