As Boonslick Regional Planning Commission along with other 2 regional planning commissions and their transportation advisory committees (TAC) wrap up the public input and prioritization of their transportation needs, they will now meet with MoDOT as a group to determine the priorities for the entire 17 counties MoDOT's Northeast District serves."Each of our three regional planning commissions and their TACs have come up with their list of prioritized projects, so now we have to combine all of those lists and prioritize them from our district's perspective," explained MoDOT Transportation Planning Manager Tom Batenhorst.The public in invited to observe this process at MoDOT's NE District Office located at 1711 Highway 61 South in Hannibal on Monday, May 19 from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a one hour break for lunch from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m."Public input has been promoted heavily in the last couple of months by these regional planning commissions, so the purpose of this meeting is really to bring together all the lists into one, "Batenhorst said.The three regional planning commissions in MoDOT's Northeast District are: Boonslick Regional Planning, which serves Ralls, Monroe, Shelby, Audrain, Randolph, Macon, Pike and Marion Counties: and the NEMO Regional Planning Commission, which serves Adair, Schuyler, Scotland, Knox, Lewis and Clark Counties.Public Invited to Observe Transportation Decision-Making Process
