MoDOT will hold a public meeting in Dutzow on the preliminary design of the new Route 47 bridge over the Missouri River on Tuesday, July 23.The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Vincent’s Parish located off of Highway 94 near Dutzow.Area residents can review images of the new Route 47 Missouri River Bridge and provide comments on the design anytime between those hours.“The bridge provides a vital link between Warren County to the north and Franklin County to the south, and before we begin finalizing the design, we want to ensure all area residents have the opportunity to see the design and make comments,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Erik Maninga. “The proposed new bridge would provide wider, safer and more efficient travel for many motorists in this area.”The new bridge is currently in the design phase and construction is anticipated to begin in late 2016.The estimated cost for this project is $55 million. Those not able to attend the public meeting can go online at http://www.modot.org/stlouis/major_projects/Route47BridgeoverMissouriRiver.htm to review the design, images and submit comments, or they can call MoDOT customer service at 1-888 ASK MODOT (1-888-275-6636).PROPOSED OVERHEAD STRUCTURE FOR MISSOURI RIVER BRIDGESUBMITTED RENDERING
