No matter where you live in Warren County, chances are you pay property taxes to at least three different political entities.Property taxes are a major source of revenue that pay for a variety of public services, from street repairs, to firefighting gear, to teachers’ salaries.Local governments, emergency response agencies and school districts in Warren County recently decided their property tax rates for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. The majority of taxing districts in Warren County tax real estate and personal property at the same rate.Below is a breakdown of the 2017 property tax rates for area entities, along with how the rates have changed since last year. Noted, where appropriate, are taxes allocated to specific purposes, such as maintaining parks or paying off government debt.Property tax rates are per $100 of assessed real estate or personal property valuation.
