To The Editor,I am a retired Warren County teacher who loves to learn. That is why I was pleased to hear about the possibility of a tech school coming to our county. What an opportunity to provide extended education for our local students, grow our own trained workforce, and improve the local economy.Over the years I’ve conversed with many tradesmen, those dependable workers who fix a deck, a leaky pipe, tile floors and bathrooms, or repaired downed power lines. Almost all have said that they were frustrated in high school because they were hands on kids.Educational systems in other countries are set up to accommodate such learners who upon graduation have already apprenticed and move right into the workforce. The offering to partner with a successful junior college is one of the best things to happen to Warren County in quite a while. It will put us on the regional map as a progressive and innovative community. I encourage you to vote “yes” on Prop J.Sharon DieckmannInnsbrook
