President Donald Trump said he has complete power to grant pardons, a statement that comes amid investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.The Washington Post reported that the president has inquired about the authority he has as president to pardon aides, relatives, even himself, in connection with the investigation into Russian interference in the election and whether anybody in the Trump camp was involved. Trump has said all along no laws were violated.Trump’s lawyers said the issue of pardons has not been discussed by his legal team. One of his lawyers said pardons are not an issue.Trump brought up the pardon remarks via a tweet over the weekend. Why would he do that? He is just creating another issue for his enemies to attack him, and for the press to chew on.Apparently, no one in the Trump camp can control his social media blasts. In so many cases, Trump is his worst enemy.
