The Warren County Fair parade will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28. This year's parade will feature a new — yet familiar — route.
What is the parade route?
The parade is slated to start on Main Street in Warrenton, near the county courthouse and city hall. The lineup for entries begins at 2 p.m. Parade entries should arrive on Walton Street, located a block south of Main.
The parade will end at Truesdale City Hall. Spectators are encouraged to line the sidewalks along the route. The intersection at Main Street and Highway 47 will be temporarily closed.
Is there a cost to be in the parade?
No, the parade is free and preregistration is not required.
Are there awards?
Yes. Cash prizes of $350, $250 and $150 will be awarded for the top three floats.
The winners will be announced before the queen contest on Tuesday, June 30, at 7 p.m.
Will the fairgrounds be open to the public Sunday?
No, the Fair officially opens Tuesday, June 30. The fairgrounds will be open Monday for livestock exhibitors to check in.
