A St. Charles man has been charged with drug delivery in Warren County stemming from a 2019 traffic stop.
According to the Wright City Police Department, Todd A. Dyer, 49, was stopped while driving on South Elm Street in October. Police said the plates on his vehicle were reported as stolen.
During the stop, Dyer could not provide any registration for the vehicle, police said. He reportedly consented to a search, during which officers allegedly located a large bag in the engine compartment containing suspected marijuana.
Police said the bag weighed about half a pound, and that a lab analysis later confirmed the substance identification.
Dyer is now charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a class C felony. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Dyer has a previous conviction in Warren County for drug possession. He was directed to complete a one-year substance abuse program and then placed on five years of probation beginning in 2018.
