The Post 122 Junior Legion team fell to Hannibal 7-2 during the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.Hannibal scored two runs in the second and fifth innings and added three more in the sixth.Warrenton scored its only runs in the sixth inning.Zach Shepard had two hits for Post 122, while Devon Oden and Bradley Smith each added one.Collen Leslie and Smith were responsible for RBIs.Ryan Adams started on the mound for Warrenton, striking out three, walking three and allowing eight hits through six innings. He gave up seven runs, with four of them being earned.Chris Garrett entered in relief, with Leslie closing.Hannibal 3, Warrenton 2: The Post 122 Junior Legion team lost the second contest of its doubleheader against Hannibal.The game exited the first inning deadlocked in a 1-1 tie and was notched at 2-2 after five innings. Hannibal scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh.Brandon Purkaple collected two hits, while James Dotson and Merrell each had one.Austin Dixon and Dotson each scored a run, with Purkaple adding two RBIs.Dotson pitched a full game, striking out six and walking three. He allowed four hits and three runs, including one earned run.Manchester 8, Warrenton 4: The Post 122 Freshman Legion team dropped a non-league game last Wednesday.Warrenton fell behind 4-1 in the first inning and surrendered three more runs in the fourth.Alex Vogt had two hits, while Braden Lawson and Sebastian Camarena each had one hit.Lawson, Vogt and Justin Rice each had an RBI.Post 122 utilized six different pitchers, starting with Vogt, who struck out two, walked two and allowed two hits and four runs.Jordan Merrell, Bradley Smith, Clayton Schowe, Rice and Schanel each pitched around an inning a piece in the defeat.BUSY LEGION SCHEDULEDerrick Forsythe photo.
