Post 122 Freshman top St. Peters

The Warrenton Post 122 Freshman Legion team defeated St. Peters 9-3 on Tuesday.Warrenton jumped ahead 6-0 in the third inning, with St. Peters closing the gap in the bottom of the fourth.Post 122 tacked on three more runs in the sixth.Dalton Owenby and Alex Vogt each had two hits, with Owenby scoring two runs.Chris Garrett was responsible for two runs, connecting on a hit and an RBI.He also pitched a full seven innings, striking out five and walking one. He gave up six hits and one earned run.Allen Shepard added two RBIs.Washington 4, Warrenton 3: The Post 122 Freshman Legion team grabbed a short-lived 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth on Sunday but was unable to finish.Washington countered with three runs of its own in the bottom of the fourth and scored the game-winning run in the sixth.Trenton McGee and James Dotson each had one hit and scored one run.Chris Garrett scored one run, while Brendan Hazel and Dalton Owenby each had one hit.McGee pitched four innings, striking out two while walking three batters. He allowed two hits and three runs.Clayton Schowe tossed two innings, striking out one while giving up one hit and one run.St. Charles 17, Warrenton 0: The Post 122 Freshman Legion team was shut out at home in five innings on Monday.Following a scoreless first inning, St. Charles scored one run in the second, four in the third, nine in the fourth and three more in the fifth.McGee had two hits, while Garrett had one.Chris Vogt pitched three innings, walking two and allowing five earned runs.Alex Vogt tossed a fraction of an inning, striking out one, walking one and allowing six earned runs.Brendan Schanuel pitched an inning, walking one and giving up five earned runs.Jordan Merrill also saw time on the mound.JUNIOR LEGIONUnion 9, Warrenton 3: The Post 122 Junior Legion team lost the first game of a doubleheader at home on Saturday.Union led 7-0 after four innings and was up 9-0, before Warrenton finally posted its first run in the bottom of the sixth.Austin Dixon and Chris Garrett had Post 122’s only two hits.Collen Leslie started on the mound, striking out six and walking three through three innings. He allowed three hits, two runs and two earned runs.Ryan Adams pitched four innings, whiffing two batters and walking one. He gave up two earned runs and three hits.SENIOR LEGIONElsberry 6, Warrenton 4: The Post 122 Senior Legion team lost a seventh-inning lead against Post 266 last Wednesday.Warrenton led 2-1 after the first inning and added another run in the third.Elsberry notched the game at 3-3 in the fifth and scored three runs in the seventh to take the lead.Hunter Capstick had three hits and one RBI, while scoring one run.Ken Dildine and Brandon Moeller each had one hit and scored one run, while Moeller had two RBIs. Corey Eckenfels, Airk Rader and Tyler Brittain each had one hit, while Jacob Abel scored one run.Moeller started on the mound, striking out six and walking one through seven innings.
