To The Editor,Please don’t pass up this gift Warren County! Warren County is being offered a huge opportunity to positively impact the future of our community by establishing a Regional Technical Training Center.By voting yes on Prop J on November 5th you are paving the way for our county’s future by expanding educational and economic opportunities right here in Warren County. Imagine our local students having a chance to attend a regional technical college in their home county without paying out of district tuition. This is a savings of nearly $800 per semester! Also, adults who qualify will be eligible to take advantage of the Fast Track Grant to obtain a certificate or degree that will increase their employment opportunities.Another reason I consider this a gift is the economic impact this will bring to Warren County. Manufacturing companies are struggling to hire employees that are workforce ready. By offering this training facility in Warren County we will be attracting new business here and increasing the economy in our county.I know you don’t want to pay more taxes. I am retired and on a fixed income too, but I worry about our kids and their future here in Warren County. The tax levy of 16.66 cents per $100 of assessed valuation will cost the average homeowner less that $1 per week. All money generated in Warren County will stay in Warren County! Please vote yes on Nov. 5!Mary GroeperWright City
