Warrenton police have arrested a woman they say tried to choke a man during an argument.Sierra N. Weckherlin, 27, is charged with second-degree domestic assault. She is being held at the Warren County Jail under a $10,000 bond.Officers on Jan. 22 spoke with a man who told them Weckherlin had assaulted him at her home on Lotus Court, according to a Warrenton police report.The man told police he and Weckherlin were arguing when Weckherlin allegedly grabbed him by his hair and choked him with her left hand. He said while being choked he could not breathe, according to police.Officers observed a red mark on the side of the man’s neck which they said was consistent with the size of a person’s thumb.Weckherlin reportedly told police that she had put her hand on the man’s throat to push him away during the argument. She informed police the two of them had another argument the night before.Officers said they observed no visible marks on Weckherlin’s body.Weckherlin was arraigned Jan. 23 in Warren County Circuit Court. Her next hearing is set for Feb. 13.
