Warrenton police are still searching for the suspect involved in the robbery of the US Bank branch in Warrenton Friday, April 22.Police Chief Greg Houdyshell said Tuesday morning the department is still seeking a suspect.“Nothing new to report,” he said. “There’s plenty of leads, but we’re trying to get them all run down.”The bank, located at 502 E. Veterans Memorial Parkway, was robbed just before noon. The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was wearing a green sweatshirt and gray pants, Houdyshell said.He fled the bank on foot and was seen running toward the south of the bank facility. No gun was displayed in the incident. No injuries were reported.Houdyshell said the robbery doesn’t appear to fit any pattern. “As far as I know, this is the first one he’s ever done,” he said. “There’s no pattern.”The robbery also doesn’t appear to be connected to any previous bank heists in Warrenton.“The bank robberies that have happened here, in Warrenton, four of the five previous ones have been solved,” Houdyshell said. “They were all different people. We’ve got one that’s outstanding, and this m.o. was completely different.”Anyone with information should contact the Warrenton Police Department at 636-456-7088.Surveillance photo
