Police seize drugs, $5,700 from “party bus”

Warrenton police Tuesday said officers seized a bag of drugs along with $5,700 in cash from a “party bus” that was stopped along Interstate 70.The police department shared a photo of the seized items through its Facebook page with a statement about the incident. An officer was dispatched Tuesday morning after a report of a troubled vehicle on I-70, and found the bus having mechanical issues, police said.While at the scene, the officer discovered a bag containing suspected MDMA, a hallucinogenic drug often referred to as “ecstasy,” in the possession of people on the bus, along with the cash. The items were seized and two people from the St. Louis area were taken into custody, police said.Police have not disclosed the identities of the two people arrested. No criminal charges had been filed in the Warren County Circuit Court as of Tuesday afternoon. Police also did not say whether any other people were on the bus.

Warrenton police said they seized a bag of the drug “ecstasy” and $5,700 in cash from people on a party bus that broke down on Interstate 70 Oct. 14.
