A Truesdale man who was cause using heroin in a restaurant bathroom has been charged with a felony.Devin J. Whitaker, 31, of the 100 block of Thrush Court, was charged last week with felony drug possession. His bond was set at $10,000.According to the probable cause statement, a deputy was dispatched near Rebecca Boone Elementary School on May 16 for the report of a suspicious person. Whitaker allegedly was trying to gain access to the school for a play and was told he had already missed it. He told the officer his wife left him at Pizza Hut.When contact was made with Whitaker’s wife, she confirmed she left him after catching him using heroin, according to the probable cause statement. A used syringe was located in a trash can in the restaurant’s bathroom during the course of the investigation, police said.Devin J. WhitakerWCSD JAIL
