Truesdale police said a drug distributor was caught moving product that she had attempted to conceal under a false bottom in a container for cleaning wipes.
Michalene Hagan, 45, Truesdale, was charged this week with three counts of delivering a controlled substance after being stopped by police Nov. 23. Truesdale police said she was apprehended during a traffic stop.
Hagan was pulled over on Smith Street and was determined to be driving with a suspended license, according to an arrest report. When she was asked to exit the vehicle, an officer reportedly saw a bag containing a crystalline substance sticking out of her pocket.
That led to a search of Hagan, during which police also found $740 in cash.
During a search of her vehicle, police said they located a container marked “Clorox Disinfecting Wipes” that had a false bottom. Concealed in the container, officers allegedly found nine small bags of suspected methamphetamine, two bags of marijuana, along with several empty bags that police allege were for distribution. Also in the container were several loose pills identified as opioids and amphetamines.
During an interview with police, Hagan allegedly admitted to selling drugs in order to support herself. She reportedly described paying $1,000 for the meth and discussed different methods of selling it to earn more money.
