Pitch the Keys finished fourth for the second consecutive year at the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) Midwest competition.The contest was held Friday, March 6, in DeKalb, Ill. Pitch the Keys is the a cappella group from Warrenton High School.Enharmonic Fusion, representing DeKalb High School, finished first and will advance to the national finals. Vocal Point, from Galesville, Wis., and Reign, from West Des Moines, Iowa, finished second and third, respectively.Choir director Jarrod Hendricks said he was proud of how his group performed against some of the best competition in the midwest.“This year’s performance was a lot of improvement from last year and in one of the most competitive regions,” he said. “I am so proud of my Pitch the Keys.”Pitch the Keys’ next performance is April 20 at Northeast Junior High Honor Choir Festival in Moberly for 700 seventh- and eighth-grade students.Pitch the Keys
