The Wright City softball team defeated St. Charles in a thrilling 11-10 game on Sept. 8.
The Wildcats were down 10-8 as they entered the top of the seventh inning, but Lorelai Kellner stepped up to bat to send all three base runners home.
The Wildcats' defense held strong in the bottom of the seventh to secure the victory. On the mound, Ava Swaringen struck out six batters and Sadie Sehnert led the offense with three runs.
Sehnert also achieved her 100th career hit during the game. She now sits at 103 career hits.
