Wright City celebrated Earth Day on April 26 with the help of the Warrenton Girl Scout Troop 9247.
The scouts and parks department staff were hard at work Saturday morning planting in the flower beds across the park and digging holes for two new trees.
Wright City Parks Director Stuart Bruning said the trees were an eastern red bud and a birch tree, which were donated by the Cuivre River Electric Cooperative.
