Wright City High School held its annual Macho Man Volleyball Tournament on March 7. The tournament is held in the spring semester in place of the powder puff football game which is held in the fall.
The tournament is used to benefit charities, this year funds are being directed to Students Against Destructive Decisions and the funds will be used for seminars and a guest speaker for the students’ prom and pre-prom week later this spring, according to teacher and organizer Whitney Schuenemeyer.
The teams were divided by grade level with the junior team winning the tournament, going undefeated in pool play and knocking off the sophomore team in the championship.
