Wright City kicked off the summer season with the first of the city's First Fridays events on May 2. The events are held on the first fridays of May, June, July and August and include vendors, fun for the kids and live music on Second Street in downtown Wright City.
The Wright City Downtown Revitalization Committee has been planning the events for the past five years as they continue to grow. Moving forward, the city will hold events on June 6, June 27 and August 4.
The June 27 event is being held at the Wright City Lions Club in conjunction with the city's firework show and committee members expect it to be the largest of the four events. Cover band Drawl STL will also be performing that evening.
The August 4 event will be the back to school bash, where local businesses and vendors help distribute school supplies to local kids before the start of the school year.
