A pedestrian was killed Monday after being struck by a pickup truck on Veterans Memorial Parkway west of Highway H in Warren County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, around 6:25 a.m. Monday, a 33-year-old male pedestrian from Wright City was traveling westbound on Veterans Memorial Parkway in the westbound lane on an electric scooter when a 2005 Dodge 3500 struck him. The pickup was driven by a 62-year-old male from Timpson, Texas, who also was traveling westbound. According to the crash report, the driver failed to notice the pedestrian.
The 33-year-old male was pronounced dead at SSM Health St. Joseph Lake St. Louis hospital at 7:43 a.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of the occupants involved in injury crashes.
