A Hawk Point male teenager trapped underneath his 1994 Chevrolet Blazer, left, managed to be freed by emergency responders during a scary accident Thursday, Jan. 7. Chadlier Scronce, 17, who was standing outside his vehicle in the center median when an 18-wheeler merged into the passing lane and struck a 2005 Jeep Cherokee. The impact caused the Jeep Cherokee to strike Scronce's vehicle which then landed on Scronce. The driver of the SUV was uninjured. The 18-wheeler fled the scene and was never located. The accident occured at 11:35 a.m. near the 200-mile marker and caused both lanes of Interstate 70 to be shut down.
