The city of Warrenton has banned parking along the south side of Veterans Memorial Parkway west of Steinhagen Road.
Vehicles previously could park on the shoulder of the road near the intersection with Steinhagen. Officials said parked vehicles created a safety hazard by blocking visibility at the intersection.
The ordinance banning parking was passed Nov. 7 and was effective immediately. The stretch of road affected is between Steinhagen and Highway 47.
