A Kindergarten Parent Information Night will be held for families of students attending kindergarten during the 2015-16 school year.The information nights will be held at each of the three elementary schools on Thursday, Jan. 22. Future kindergartners who will attend either Daniel Boone Elementary, Warrior Ridge Elementary or Rebecca Boone Elementary next year should attend. All three sessions will start at 6 p.m.School staff will provide information regarding registration, health records and screening details. Parents will be able to pick up a registration packet and sign up for screening appointments which will be held in February at each elementary school. The registration packet should be returned to school at the screening appointment time. Parents will complete the registration process while the child is being screened by school staff.All children of kindergarten age who live within the Warren County R-III School District should enroll. Current Missouri law requires a child to be 5 years of age before Aug. 1, 2015, to be enrolled in a public school kindergarten.Parents enrolling their children must have proof of residence (tax bill, electric bill, water bill, mortgage statement, lease agreement, etc.), identification, their child’s Social Security number, birth certificate, and immunization record. The child’s immunization record will be reviewed and parents will be informed if the record is complete or if the child is in need of any vaccinations.
