A woman suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine using items that fit in her purse has been charged with two felony crimes.Tiffany R. Cochran, 33, Bellflower, was charged Feb. 12 with the manufacture of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon, stemming from a March 2017 traffic stop.A Warren County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle carrying Cochran at Isabella Drive and Donna Maria Drive in Warrenton March 24. While searching the vehicle, deputies discovered what they called a “one-pot meth lab,” along with a handgun, according to the sheriff’s department.Items seized from the vehicle included alcohol, drain cleaner and items with pill residue, which authorities described as precursor chemicals for making methamphetamine. Deputies also found baggies of methamphetamine, a scale and hypodermic syringes.Much of the equipment was located in Cochran’s purse, along with a .25 caliber pistol, deputies said. It is illegal to possess a firearm while knowingly committing a felony drug possession crime.Cochran allegedly admitted to deputies that she and another person in the vehicle were manufacturing methamphetamine.A warrant for Cochran’s arrest was issued Feb. 13. It includes a bond of $20,000 once she has been incarcerated.According to online court records, Cochran has previous convictions for burglary and stealing allegedly committed in June 2017 in Montgomery County. She received five years of state supervised probation for the charges.Crime
