After being struck by another vehicle, a driver lost control on eastbound Interstate 70 near Wright City Sunday, ended up on the North Outer Road and ran away on foot.The driver who struck that vehicle, Jason Jarboe, 41, of Witchita, Kan., was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis with minor injuries.The identity of the driver whose car was struck and who left the scene is unknown, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report.The report states the crash happened at 10:37 p.m. Jarboe was driving a 2006 Chrysler 300 on the eastbound side of I-70 when that vehicle struck the rear of a 2004 Honda Accord. The Chrysler then traveled off the right side of the road.The Honda reportedly traveled through the I-70 median, struck the cable barrier and went airborne, and traveled across the westbound traffic lanes. The Honda then struck an embankment, traveled across the North Outer Road and came to rest on the other side of the road.The driver of the Honda then reportedly fled the scene on foot. The highway patrol report does not indicate why the driver might have fled.Crash
