Wentzville, Missouri. (May. 28, 2014) –Hear ye, hear ye, the St. Louis Renaissance Festival is entering its final 2014 weekend! This June 7th & 8th, travel back in time as you step into the beautifully wooded, 16th century village of Petit Lyon. Stroll through the one hundred artisan shops for unique crafts and goods as well as experience daily jousts, the royal court, 9 stages of entertainment, and food fit for a king!The final theme weekend of the year, High Seas Adventure, will bring out the pirate in you! The Faire is on a mission to discover the best beards in all seven seas. Enter your facial hair in to compete in the Longest Beard, the Grizzliest, Most Unique, Best Mustache, or the best Trimmed beard categories for your chance to win great prizes. Step up on stage for the Faire’s Tattoo Competition and show off your ink, with categories including Best Color, Best Black and White, Best Pirate themed, and People’s Choice awarded to roaring applause. So make sure to come in your best pirate garb to participate!In addition to our special theme weekend events, stop by this final weekend to enjoy all of our new experiences and attractions at the Festival. Children young and old will delight in the magical ALL NEW Fairy House Forest, with its twisting paths of magical fairy houses and, if you’re lucky, you might just meet a fairy or two! Don’t forget to stop by and experience the infamous, ominous Throne of Swords.This final weekend, take advantage of a variety of discounts available on admission tickets. It’s Biker Weekend, so show your Motorcycle ID at the Festival box office and receive $3 off a regular priced adult admission. To honor those who serve, show your Military, Police Officer, Fire or EMS IC and receive $5 off admission for this weekend.
