Warren County authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of an O’Fallon man charged with sodomy against a child victim in 2015.
Elijah R. Anderson, 22, is charged with sodomy in the first degree. The warrant for his arrest includes a $100,000, cash-only bond.
Wright City police began investigating Anderson early this year, after a female victim came forward. During a forensic interview, the girl stated Anderson had sexual intercourse with her on two occasions in July 2015, according to a Wright City police report. Anderson was 19 years old at the time. The girl was 13.
The intercourse is alleged to have happened at two homes in Wright City.
A Wright City officer contacted Anderson during the investigation. Anderson reportedly admitted that the girl performed a sex act.
The charge of first-degree sodomy carries a heavy penalty if convicted. The minimum prison sentence is five years, with a maximum as high as a life sentence.
Anderson does not have any previous court record related to sex crimes, but has an active criminal charge against him out of O’Fallon for felony drug possession.
