Daniel "Dan" Payne II

 Daniel “Dan” Payne II, 55, of Warrenton, MO, passed away on January 6, 2022. He was born on November 3, 1966 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Daniel L. Payne and Doris J. Payne.

He grew up with his many brothers and sisters in Bethel, MO. Then later the family relocated to Silex where Dan attended high school and later graduated, Class of 1985. He worked at the chicken farm, then attended Technical College to learn how to work on computers. Dan worked for many years as a computer IT analyst, and he thoroughly enjoyed his work. When he wasn’t working, he could be found with his wife, Kym and his children.

He married Kym Busk on June 5, 2021, in St. Peters, MO. Dan loved to play sand volleyball as a young man and still played it to this day. He was very young at heart and always up for an adventure. Dan always enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and shooting his guns. He will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kym Payne, his children: Rachel (Adam) Massey, Todd Locklin, Rebecca (Mathew) Kehner, Heather (Eddie) McDow, Christopher (Emily) Payne, Julia Payne, Anthony Payne, Gabriella Payne, Lucas Payne, Tylor Nilges, Cash Tallon, Nikole Plassmeyer, Luke Plassmeyer; his grandchildren: Zackery Cropper, Darin Cropper, Jaycob Gilliland, Jayden Gilliland, Addieanna Massey, Charlotte Massey, Lexie Payne, Brandan Cress, Devan Cress, Caden Kehner, Patrick Cooper, Ava Cooper, Riley Cooper, Dale Locklin, Gracie Locklin, Dominick Picthall, Malachi Pitchall, Maverick Payne, Jhett Payne, and Lennox Nilges. He is further survived by his siblings: Debra Barrick and her husband, Roger, of Bethel, MO, Diane Kohn of Bethel, Cephus Payne and his wife, Lisa Blossom-Payne, of Troy, Elizabeth Marquette and her husband, Dwain of Bethel, Doris Lourance and her husband, Brian, of Troy, Misty Todd and her husband, Dan, of Louisiana, Loretta Colvin and her husband, Jason of Troy, as well as many other relatives and friends. He was reunited with his parents in heaven.

Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 and also visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379.  The funeral is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location. Officiating: Rev. Mark Meyers. Interment to follow in Hawk Point Cemetery, Hawk Point, MO. Memorial Donations may be made to donor's choice, c/o the funeral home.
