Obituaries for Thursday, September 3 Edition Gary C. Wilmsmeyer 1953 - 2009 Gary Charles Wilmsmeyer, 56, Oak Grove, passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital, Blue Springs. Mr. Wilmsmeyer was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Washington, the son of Louis Wilmsmeyer and wife Mildred, nee Bockhorst. He was the owner of RPM Leasing. Mr. Wilmsmeyer was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Ronald Wilmsmeyer. He is survived by his wife, Robyn Wilmsmeyer, nee Damgaard, Oak Grove; one son, Joshua (Sarah) Wilmsmeyer, Creve Coeur; two daughters, Kelly Gittemier, Wentzville, and Kimberly Craig, Fenton; his mother, Mildred Wilmsmeyer, nee Bockhorst, Warrenton; one sister, Connie Roberts, Hannibal; one grandson, John Buckley; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4-7 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jason Emmerson officiating. Burial will follow in Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorials to the grandchild education fund in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Dennis C. Grimm 1940 - 2009 Dennis C. Grimm, 69, Foristell, passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at his home. Mr. Grimm was born Jan. 29, 1940, in St. Louis, the son of Carl A. Grimm and wife Mabel, nee Keisacker. He was the owner of Tri-County Power Center, Moscow Mills, and a member of the Wild Turkey Federation, NRA and Safari Club International. Mr. Grimm was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carla Grimm. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Grimm, nee Fehr, Foristell; one son, Rock (Glennis) Grimm, Foristell; three daughters, Tanya (Gene) Schaefer, Harvester, Kelly (Michael) Stevener, Defiance, and Laura Simon, O'Fallon; nine grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 13, from 2-3 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall, Cottleville. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 13, at 3 p.m. at the hall with the Rev. Margaret Prenger 1935 - 2009 Margaret Prenger, 74, Warrenton, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Prenger was born July 3, 1935, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Oscar Distler and wife Antonia, nee Dulle. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton, a member of the Ladies Sodality and an avid quilter and bingo player. Mrs. Prenger was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mary Alice Edgar, and one grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Norbert Prenger, Warrenton; four sons, Ronald (Laura) Prenger, Norbert (Christy) Prenger Jr., Wayne (Margie Ware) Prenger, and Roger (Stacy) Prenger, all of Warrenton; two daughters, Joyce (Daniel) Hagenhoff, Henley, and Shirley (Mike) Lockett, Bloomington, Ill.; three brothers, Paul Distler, Lake Ozark, Vincent Distler, Toas, and Jerome Distler, Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Rosemary Schulte, Jefferson City, and Theresa Hilke, Argyle; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends. Minard 1924 - 2009 Audrey Evelyn Minard, 85, Wentzville, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. Mrs. Minard was born March 29, 1924, in St. Louis, the daughter of William Ernst Eickhoff and wife Erna Amelia, nee Isenmann. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wentzville. Mrs. Minard was preceded in death by her husband, James Minard, her parents, one brother, Arthur Eickhoff, and one sister, Eleanor Murphy. She is survived by two sons, Kim I. (Judy) Minard, Holt Summit, and Kevin G. (Joan) Minard, Lake Saint Louis; two daughters, Tonya Kay (Dennis) Harris, Wentzville, and Lori Ann Minard (J.R. Reid), Clarksville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wentzville, with the Rev. Jason Auringer officiating. Burial was in Eternal Peace Cemetery, Wentzville. Louise Carol Brakemeyer 1955 - 2009 Louise Carol Brakemeyer, 54, Warrenton, passed away at her business in Hermann on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009. Mrs. Brakemeyer was born Jan. 22, 1955, in Washington, the daughter of Julius Klott and wife Jacquelyn, nee Beuke. On Feb. 8, 1975, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Washington, she was united in marriage to David Lee Brakemeyer. Mrs. Brakemeyer attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton and was also an organist. She was manager of Vinchester Inn in Hermann and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and playing cards and washers. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Jeremy Klott. Mrs. Brakemeyer is survived by her husband, David Brakemeyer, Warrenton; two sons, Julius "Jake" Brakemeyer and wife Amy, Warrenton, and Nicholas Alan Brakemeyer and wife Martha, Marthasville; one brother, Gilbert Klott, Washington; a sister-in-law, Mary Mittler and husband Maurice, Washington; brother-in-law, Emmanuel Brakemeyer and wife, Rosalind, Union; one soon-to-be grandson, Cole Nicholas Brakemeyer; other relatives and many friends, including her dog Lucky. A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Sept. 2, at St. George Catholic Church, Hermann, with the Rev. Bill Debo officiating. Burial was in Smith Creek Cemetery, Warrenton. Winter 1941 - 2009 Marvin Wesley Winter, 68, Jonesburg, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at his home after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Winter was born April 19, 1941, in Truxton, the son of Wesley Winter and wife Emma, nee Chenault. He was employed at Jonesburg Grain and Elevator in Jonesburg where he had worked for over 25 years. Mr. Winter was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Raney Winter. He is survived by his wife, Lana Winter, Jonesburg; one son, Howard Winter and wife Diana, Warrenton; one daughter, Chrissy Hercules and husband Dirck, Bourbon; his siblings, David Winter and John Winter and Lena Gordon, all of Jonesburg; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 28, at Jonesburg Methodist Church, Jonesburg, with the Rev. Steve Rosenberg officiating. Burial was in Jonesburg City Cemetery. A graveside service for Frances Smotherman, 72, Warrenton, were held Saturday, Aug. 29, at Oak Forest Cemetery, Birch Tree. Ms. Smotherman died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009. She is survived by one stepson, Randy Smotherman; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
