Obituaries for Thursday, September 24 Edition Wilfred H. Ostmann 1920-2009 Wilfred H. Ostmann, 88, Warrenton, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at the Jonesburg Nursing and Rehab, Jonesburg. Mr. Ostmann was born Nov. 8, 1920, in St. Charles, the son of Carl Ostmann and wife Lydia, nee Schroeder. On Aug. 13, 1945, in St. Charles, he was united in marriage to Lucille Mintner. They spent 40 years on their farm in the Wright City area and later relocated to Wellsville. Mr. Ostmann was employed as a union carpenter and laborer until his retirement. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He will be sadly missed by the families he left behind. Mr. Ostmann was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Ostmann, in April 2009, two sons, Richard Ostmann and Michael Ostmann, one daughter, Darlene Harris, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by two sons, Wilfred Ostmann and wife Barbara, Gerald, and Brian Ostmann and wife Patty, Bellflower; one daughter, Sharon Krause and husband Mike, Warrenton; four brothers, Arthur Ostmann and wife Estelle, St. Charles, Ralph Ostmann and wife Lucille, Paris, Harold Ostmann and wife Helen, Wentzville, and Elmer Ostmann and wife Virginia, Foristell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. at the home of Sharon and Mike Krause in Warrenton. Call for directions, 636-456-0054. The family is being served by Harding Funeral Home, Jonesburg. Virginia Eichmeyer 1923-2009 Virginia Eichmeyer, 86, Marthasville, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at New Haven Care Center. Miss Eichmeyer was born May 8, 1923, in Marthasville, the daughter of Hugo Eichmeyer and wife Amalia "Molly," nee Schneider. She was the director of nursing at Emmaus Homes of Marthasville for 40 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville. Miss Eichmeyer was active with and helped to start Belton Missions and the Tape Ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Viola Mann and husband Erwin; one brother, Leroy Eichmeyer; and one sister-in-law, Bernice Eichmeyer. Miss Eichmeyer is survived by two brothers, Earl Eichmeyer and Rueben Eichmeyer and wife Mabel, all of Marthasville; one sister, Emily Wildermuth and husband Larry, Maple Valley, Wash.; sister-in-law, Hazel Eichmeyer, Marthasville; 12 nieces and nephews; 19 great-nieces and -nephews; five great-great-nieces and -nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 21, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville, with the Rev. George Dohm officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials to St Paul's Belton Missions or the Tape Ministries in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383, are preferred. The family was served by Lichtenberg-Martin Funeral Home, Marthasville.
