William W. Holt
1932-2011
William Wade "B.W." Holt, 78, Warrenton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at his home. Mr. Holt was born Nov. 24, 1932, in Portageville, the son of Roy Holt and wife Winnie, nee Adams. On July 12, 1954, he was united in marriage to Bernadine Ruth Rose, in East St. Louis, Ill. They were married for 57 years. He was a minister and the founder and current director of Samaritan Aid in Warrenton and also a member of Christian Brothers Evangelistic Association International. B.W. was preceded in death by his parents Roy Holt and wife Winnie, nee Adams; one sister and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Bernadine Holt, nee Rose, Warrenton; five sons, Bill Holt and wife Shirley, Mike Holt and wife June, Steve Holt and wife Janice, all of Warrenton, Mark Holt and wife, Michelle, Washington, and Matthew Holt and wife, Sherry, Jonesburg; one daughter, Beth Holt and fiance George Pickett, Wright City; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Warrenton City Cemetery, Warrenton. Memorials to the family in care of Martin Funeral Home are preferred. Private funeral services for Sumako Filipek, 78, Warrenton, were held. Mrs. Filipek died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis. Burial was private. She is survived by her husband, Robert Filipek, Warrenton, and one son, John Filipek, Warrenton. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Funeral services for Joyce M. Grapenthin, 79, Wentzville, will be held Friday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Mrs. Grapenthin died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in New Melle. She is survived by three sons, Michael Grapenthin and wife Sheree, Wentzville, Terry Grapenthin and wife Bobby, Sheffield, Ohio, Gregory Grapenthin and wife Cherise, Wentzville; two daughters, Kimberly Lavely, Holden, and Michelle Baker and husband Ken, of Jefferson, N.Y. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Funeral services for Karen Ann Sheperd, 53, Wright City, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Foristell Church of Christ, Foristell. Mrs. Sheperd died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Brookview Apartments in Wright City. Burial will be in Jonesburg City Cemetery in Jonesburg. She is survived by her son, Brian Sheperd and wife Amber, Warrenton. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home.
