Obituaries for Thursday, November 26 Edition Audrea L. Roofe 1919-2009 Audrea Loraine Roofe, 90, Warrenton, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Parklane Care Center, Wentzville. Mrs. Roofe was born July 19, 1919, in Cardwell, the daughter of William Bradsher and wife Laura, nee Cooper. She was united in marriage to Herschel Irving Roofe. Mrs. Roofe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons-in-law, Isodore and Charles, three brothers, Luther, Brad and Paul, and one sister, Lucille Warren. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Gilmore, Warrenton, Kathleen Carroz and husband Richard, Wentzville, and Susan Smith, Provo, Utah; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 23, at Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorials to donor's choice in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Blanche C. Brehe 1913-2009 Blanche Clara Brehe, 96, Marthasville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at New Haven Care Center, New Haven. Mrs. Brehe was born Aug. 8, 1913, in Marthasville, the daughter of Antone Ahmann and wife Christine, nee Muench. On Feb. 3, 1992, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Marthasville, she was united in marriage to Orie Lee McCarty. They delivered Meals on Wheels in the summertime. Mrs. Brehe was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She volunteered and worked at the Emmaus Home in Marthasville. She loved making quilts and playing cards. Mrs. Brehe was preceded in death by her parents, one step-son-in-law, Ronald Mergelmeyer, one step-grandson, Gary Mergelmeyer, four sisters, Lulu Friendly, Bernice Robinson, Emilie Messa and Ada Brehe. She is survived by her husband, Orie Lee McCarty; three stepdaughters, Donna Mergel-meyer, and Wanda Diermann and husband Robert, both of Marthasville, and Cheryl Cline and husband Tom, Lyon; other relatives and many friends. She was a loving aunt, great-aunt and friend to all. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 24, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Marthasville, with the Rev. George Dohm officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials to Emmaus Homes or to the church in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Lichtenberg-Martin Funeral Home, Marthasville. Funeral services for Norma Morris, 85, Wentzville, were held Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Mrs. Morris died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. She is survived by two sons, Troy Chris Morris and Jay Dee Morris; one daughter, Cynthia (Leon) Townsend; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.
