Robert G. Dothage 1950-2011 Robert "Bob" G. Dothage, 61, Rich Fountain, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. Mr. Dothage was born March 1, 1950, in Warrenton, the son of Burton F. Dothage and wife Clara, nee Diekmann. Bob graduated from Warrenton High School in 1968, and received his associate's degree from Linn Technical College in 1970. Mr. Dothage served his country in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972, where he was stationed in Holland. On Sept. 30, 1972, Bob was united in marriage to Kathy Barham in Linn. He was employed as a mechanic and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Linn. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara. Mr. Dothage is survived by his father, Burton Dothage, Warrenton; his wife, Kathy, Rich Fountain; three daughters, Jana Dothage, Chicago, Ill., Kate Rockwood and husband Ron, Wardsville, and Lee Dothage, Belle; two granddaughters, Madeline and Claire Rockwood, Wardsville; two sisters, Carol LeGrand and Sharon Polston, both of Warrenton; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Friday, May 13, at St. John's United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Swatosh officiating. Burial was in Linn Public Cemetery. The family was served by Morton Chapel, Linn. Mintrel L. Hoffman 1960-2011 Mintrel L. Hoffman, 50, Wright City, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Des Peres. Mr. Hoffman was born June 10, 1960, in St. Charles. He was a route supervisor for Waste Management. Mr. Hoffman is survived by his father, Ray Hoffman and wife Connie; O'Fallon; his mother, Dorothy Underwood, nee Barnett, Fulton; his wife, Carla Hoffman, Wright City; five sons, Mintrel Lewis Hoffman Jr. and wife Crystal, Jonesburg, Michael Lee Hoffman, Ryan Matthew Hoffman and wife Christel, Brandon Wade Hoffman and wife Jennifer, and Bradley Edward Pickett, all of Wright City; three daughters, Teresa Baldenegro and husband Daniel, Juarez, Mexico, Amber Blevins and husband Andrew, Troy, and Heather Renae Bone, Wright City; two brothers, James "Jimmy" Hoffman and wife Danielle, Warrenton, and Frankie Hoffman, Bowling Green; two sisters, Linda Smith and husband Steve, Springfield, and Donna Buchholz and husband Steve, Steedman; 16 grandchildren, Theodore, Desiree, Jackson, Carla, Selena, Daniel, Heather, Jasmine, Haley, Ryan, Payton, Cooper, Anndee, Madelyn, Trevor and Lauren; his father- and mother-in-law, Etzel and Donna Underwood, Warrenton; his brother-in-law, Robin Underwood and wife Teresa, St. Charles; other relatives and many friends. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. David L. Gann 1932-2011 David L. Gann, 79, Warrenton, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011. Mr. Gann was born Jan. 2, 1932, in Raleigh, Ill., the son of Alfred Gann and wife Charlotte, nee Odle. He was employed as an engineer for the U.S. Army for 34 years and was a former member of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers and a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Gann was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nancy Gann. He is survived by his wife, Sondra Lenora Gann, nee Pinkham; one son, Mark Gann and wife Shonda; two daughters, Janet Shelton and Robyn Garner; six grandchildren, Jessica Camberos, Lindsey McCollum and husband Mark, Nicole Konzem and husband James, James David Garner, Michael Gann and Austin Gann; five great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Jose, Dustin, Anabella and Emily Grace; one sister, Anna Belle McIntosh; one sister-in-law, Janie Loeschner and husband Frank; other relatives and many friends. No services are planned. Burial will be private at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis. Memorials to Missouri Right to Life are preferred. The family was served by Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, St. Charles. William Schmidt 1916-2011 William "Bill" Schmidt, 94, Hermann, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011, at Frene Valley Health Center. Mr. Schmidt was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Chamois, the son of Herman Schmidt and wife Anne, nee Wild. He was united in marriage to Emelia E. Elflein on Dec. 30, 1936, at the E and R Church in Hermann. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, and the Hermann Eagles Club. He was a farmer until retirement in 1986. Mr. Schmidt was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Emelia. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Southern and husband James, Jefferson City, and Marjorie Spoede and husband Ralph, Warrenton; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 19, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, with the Rev. Rick Riedel officiating. Burial was in Loutre Island Cemetery, McKittrick. Nadine Howell 1922-2011 Nadine Howell, 89, Warrenton, formerly of Lenexa, Kan., passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at New Florence Nursing Center, New Florence. Mrs. Howell was born April 1, 1922, in Guthrie, Okla., the daughter of Art Henderson and wife Jessie May, nee Brown. She was united in marriage to Vega M. "Bud" Howell on Nov. 8, 1969, in Lenexa, Kan. They celebrated 31 years of marriage. Mrs. Howell worked as a record clerk for Southwestern Bell for 28 years. She was a lifetime member of the Communication Workers of America and the Telephone Pioneers. She was also involved in T.O.P.S. in Warrenton, Red Hat Club 23108 and volunteered at C.E.F. Mrs. Howell was a former member of the Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple in Kansas. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Warrenton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three nephews, John Henderson, Jason Henderson and Jim Henderson. Mrs. Howell is survived by one son, John F. Marshall and wife Ginnie, Jonesburg; one brother, Howard Lee Henderson and wife Marge, Caney, Kan.; three grandchildren, Ben Marshall and wife Reenesha, John Marshall and Daniel Marshall; one great-grandson, Mehan Marshall; other relatives and many dear friends. Elms 1955-2011 Lawrence Franklin Elms, 56, Warrenton, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011, at his home. Mr. Elms was born May 23, 1955, in Batesville, Ark., the son of Adler Baxter Elms and wife Lois Geraldine, nee Ball. He was united in marriage to Janet Marie Ridgley on Sept. 17, 1977, in Jonesburg. Mr. Elms was a carpenter and a welder. He also taught at Carpenters Apprenticeship Training School in Affton. He was a member of Carpenter's Local 412 in Wentzville. He was a member of Masonic Lodge AF & AM 609 in Warrenton. Mr. Elms was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jonesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Elms. Mr. Elms is survived by his wife, Janet Elms, Warrenton; one daughter, Amy Haas and husband Nicholas, Warrenton; one grandson and namesake, Mason Lawrence Haas; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, from 10-11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 204 Jones St., Jonesburg, with services following. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in High Hill. Funeral services for Otice Wilson, 80, Wright City, were held Wednesday, May 25, at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Mr. Wilson died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at his home. He is survived by four sons, Terry Davis, Greg Wilson, Melvin Davis Sr. and Leon Davis; one daughter, Carla Sydnor; other relatives and many friends.
