Obituaries for Thursday, March 25, 2010 Edition Marie A. Schneider 1924-2010 Marie A. Schneider, 86, Warrenton, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, at Delmar Gardens, O'Fallon. Mrs. Schneider was born March 7, 1924, in St. Paul, the daughter of Henry Vehige and wife Cecelia, nee Burkemper. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality. Mrs. Schneider was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Schneider, her parents, three brothers, Leander Vehige, Alphonse Vehige and Al Vehige, three sons-in-law, Victor "Skip" Grass, Neil Stahlschmidt and Gary Lautaret, and one granddaughter, Lynn Marie Stahlschmidt. She is survived by five sons, Marty Schneider and wife Barb, Ted Schneider and wife Laura, Barry Schneider and wife Anita, and Greg Schneider and wife Debbie, all of Warrenton, and Jim Schneider and wife Karen, Olathe, Kan.; 12 daughters, Carol Ebbesmeyer and husband Frank and Barb Keene and husband Kenny, all of Warrenton, Jane Eggering and husband Rich, Hawk Point, Cathy Scheiner and husband Andy, Wildwood, Betty Lautaret, Reed Springs, Janet Spence and husband Jim, Sandy Griesenauer and husband Quentin, and Mary Steiner and husband Rick, all of St. Charles, Eunice Schnarre and husband Wayne, and Ann Schneider-Grass, all of Lake Saint Louis, Chris Stahlschmidt, Jonesburg, and Grace Maher and husband Doug, Double Oak, Texas; two brothers, Jim Vehige, Wright City, and Clem Vehige, Foristell; two sisters, Helen Halter, Wentzville, and Lorraine Routon and husband Bobby, South Bend, Ind.; 61 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Friday, March 26, from noon until 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials to Holy Rosary School or Masses in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
