Ernestine Ackmann Ernestine Mary Ackmann, 78, Marthasville, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington. Mrs. Ackmann was born July 2, 1932, in St. Charles, the daughter of Claude Davis and wife Sophie, nee Monroe. She was united in marriage to Carl Florence Ackmann on Nov. 18, 1950, in Warren County. They celebrated 51 years of marriage.  Mrs. Ackmann was an LPN for the nursing homes in Warrenton and Jonesburg and the Emmaus Home in Marthasville. She worked at Woolworth's in St. Louis and at Blue Moon Restaurant in Warrenton. She was owner and operator of His and Hers Tavern in Treloar. After her retirement, she helped her husband at Carl's Garage in Treloar and worked part time at the Treloar Post Office. This past year she became co-owner of Genovese's Little Sicily in Bowling Green along with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a member of Immanuels United Church of Christ in Holstein. Mrs. Ackmann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl, who died Oct. 1, 2002, one brother, James Davis, and five sisters, Bobbie Carnide, Priscilla Spencer, Juanita Davis, Sarah Hasenjaeger and Claudine Armstrong. She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Dawn "Missy" Pratte and husband, Leonard, Bowling Green; one brother, Claude "Jerry" Davis and wife Donna, Nixa; two  sisters, Josie Davis, Missouri state, and Barbara Davis, California  state; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 23, at Immanuels United Church of Christ in Holstein. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials to American Cancer Society or to the church building fund in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. Palitzsch Georgia Fay Palitzsch, 92, Wright City, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Jonesburg Nursing and Rehab in Jonesburg. Mrs. Palitzsch was born April 17, 1918, in St. James, the daughter of George Washington Asher and wife Mary, nee Stein. She was united in marriage to Vernon August Palitzsch on Dec. 21, 1940, in St. Charles. They celebrated 47 years of marriage. Mrs. Palitzsch was a waitress at Isabelle's Restaurant in Warrenton for many years. She also worked for her sons' restaurants. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon, who died Aug. 23, 1988, one brother, Walter Asher, and two sisters, Jean Miller and Iva Penrod. Mrs. Palitzsch is survived by five sons, Frank "Raymond" Lanzone and Ron Palitzsch, both of Warrenton; George Lanzone, Maryland Heights, Rich Palitzsch and wife Beverly, O'Fallon, and John Palitzsch and wife Carol, Wright City; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral  services were held Wednesday, March 23, at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Cremation followed. Memorials to American Cancer Society in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.   Death Notices Graveside services for Ann Hunter, 63, Overland Park, Kan., formerly of La Plata, were held Saturday, March 19, at La Plata Cemetery. Miss Hunter passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, at Hospice House in Kansas City. She is survived by two brothers, Don Hunter and Dick Hunter; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Travis Funeral Chapel, La Plata. Visitation for Sarah A. Kelley, 26, Wright City, will be held Thursday, March 24, from noon-1 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home Inc., 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Miss Kelley died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at her home. She is survived by her father, Darrel Kelley; three sons, Alex Bell, Nick Bell and Clayton Moore Jr.; one daughter, Lindzy Moore; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.  
Funeral services for Bertha Marie Roark, 78, Montgomery City, were held Wednesday, March 23, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Mrs. Roark died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at New Haven Care Center in New Haven. She is survived by two sons, Robert Gruenefeld and Larry Gruenefeld; four daughters, Diana Roark, Connie Dodd, Cindy Branson and Loretta Roark; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
