Nancy S. Harlan 1950-2011 Nancy Sue Harlan, nee Corder, 60, Truesdale, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011, at her home. Mrs. Harlan was born Oct. 29, 1950, in Warren County, the daughter of Robert Thomas Corder and wife Rose Mary, nee Polston. She was united in marriage to Donald Edward Harlan on July 4, 1970, in Warrenton. They celebrated 40 years of marriage. Mrs. Harlan was a homemaker. She was a member of Warrenton Baptist Church in Warrenton where she was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Women's Missionary Union. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Corder Sr., her infant daughter, Tracy Diana Harlan, one brother, Robert Corder Jr., and an infant sister, Diane Rose. Mrs. Harlan is survived by her mother, Rose Mary Corder, Truesdale; her husband, Don Harlan, Warrenton; two daughters, Kathy Sue Newton and husband Bill, Warrenton, and Kerri Reynolds and husband Bill, Holden; three brothers, George "Bill" Corder and wife Jolene, Jonesburg, Larry Corder and wife Karen, St. Charles, and Jimmy Corder, Truesdale; seven grandchildren, Michelle, McKenzie, Makayla, Katelynn, Kristian, Kameron and Kaiden; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at Warrenton Baptist Church in Warrenton. Burial will follow in the Jonesburg City Cemetery. Stufflebean 1925-2011 Lottie Melvina Stufflebean, 85, Wood River, Ill., formerly of Warrenton, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011, at VIP Manor in Wood River, Ill. Mrs. Stufflebean was born Oct. 14, 1925, in St. Joseph, the daughter of George Schmidt and wife Dorothy, nee Lee. She was united in marriage to Roy Ola Stufflebean on Sept. 11, 1948, in Simpson, Ky. They celebrated 41 years of marriage. Mrs. Stufflebean was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy, on March 17, 1990, one son, James Leroy Stufflebean, one daughter, Beverly Stufflebean, one brother, George Schmidt, and one sister, Dorothy Crosier. Mrs. Stufflebean is survived by one daughter, Sharon Stufflebean, Wood River, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Grossman 1946-2011 Patricia Evon Grossman, 64, Jonesburg, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis. Mrs. Grossman was born Nov. 5, 1946, in Kinder, the daughter of Clifford Wisdom and wife Hester, nee Strickland. She was united in marriage to Jerry Grossman on Sept. 7, 1963. Mrs. Grossman was employed as a secretary taking care of all of Jerry's businesses and any adventures he may have been in to. She loved to spend time with family and friends. She also loved to travel and go shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joann Hollingsworth. Mrs. Grossman is survived by her husband, Jerry Grossman, Jonesburg; one son, Dan Grossman, New Florence; three brothers, Donald Wisdom and wife Barbara, Warrenton, Clyde Wisdom and wife Cheryl, St. Louis, and Billy Wisdom and wife Sara, Robertsville; five sisters, Evelyn Whittley, De Soto, Alma Skaggs, Pevely, Sandy Jones and husband Mike, O'Fallon, Judy Becker and husband Dan, Hillsboro, and Barbara Milligan and husband, Pat, Ware; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Cindy was born May 6, 1959, in St. Louis, the daughter of Ralph Finley and wife Jean, nee Hof. She was united in marriage to Eddie Lansford on Aug. 24, 2001, in Rosebud. Mrs. Lansford was a teacher at Holy Rosary Catholic School and a substitute teacher for the Warren County School District in Warrenton.She was a member of Warrenton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Finley. Mrs. Lansford is survived by her mother, Jean Finley, Rosebud; her husband, Eddie Lansford, Warrenton; one son, Kurtis Lansford and wife Stacey, Wentzville; four daughters, Amy Jo Tallo and husband Nick, Chesterfield, Kelley McCollom, St. Charles, Heather Sample, Owensville, and Kelly Wright and husband Dan, Union; one brother, Don Finley and wife Angie, Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Karen Waters and husband Mike, Owensville; 10 grandchildren, Mason, Ava, Blake, Brett, Lillian, Karson, Karlee, Kaden, Rylie and Logan; other relatives and many friends. Lester Carl Abercrombie Jr. 1955-2011 Lester Carl Abercrombie Jr, 56, Wright City, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. Mr. Abercrombie was born Feb. 4, 1955, in Noel, the son of Lester Abercrombie Sr. and wife Norma, nee Martin. He retired after 25 years of employment at True Manufacturing in O'Fallon. He later went back to work at PWG Industries in O'Fallon until his health failed. Lester loved to spend time with his family. His passion was fishing. Mr. Abercrombie was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Norma Abercrombie, Wright City; three sons, Jamey Abercrombie, Wentzville, Bradley Abercrombie and wife Mandy, Jonesburg, and Timothy Abercrombie, St. Charles; one brother, Rick Abercrombie, Troy; two sisters, Ada Lepore, Grand Junction, Mich., and Bonnie Chitwood, O'Fallon; four grandchildren, Brittany, Chase, Ethan and Evan Abercrombie; his ex-wife and friend, Bonnie Eudy and husband Martin, Wentzville; other relatives and many friends. Visitation for Martha Nolter, 81, Lake Saint Louis, will be held Saturday, March 12, from 9-10 a.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Inc., 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Our Lady Cemetery, Lake Saint Louis. Mrs. Nolter died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at her home. She is survived by two sons, Paul M. Nolter and Mathew Nolter and wife Alicia; two daughters, Suzanne Gill and husband Thomas, and Joanne Perry and husband John; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Funeral services for Harley S.H. Bierbaum, 79, Augusta, were held Wednesday, March 9, at Femme Osage United Church of Christ. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Bierbaum died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bierbaum; one son, Ronald Bierbaum and wife Carolyn; one daughter, Brenda Nadler and husband Gregg; other relatives and many friends.
