Obituaries for Thursday, July 30 Edition Glenda J. McNew - 1933 - 2009 - Glenda Jean McNew, 76, Fletcher, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009, in Fletcher. Mrs. McNew was born April 6, 1933, in Marmaduke, Ark., the daughter of the Rev. William Gossett and wife Ester, nee Harrilson. On Nov. 24, 1955, in Kennett, she was united in marriage to Donald L. McNew. Mrs. McNew was an administrator for Cincom Computer Software. She was preceded in death by one son, Terry Allen McNew. Mrs. McNew is survived by her husband, Donald, Fletcher; one daughter, Donna Howard (Jason Belker), Warrenton; two sons, Leland McNew (Vickie), St. Louis, and Darin McNew, Fletcher; three grandsons, Shannon McNew (Kathy), Michael Kopp III (Crystal), and Nick Belker; and eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 28, at Baumann Chapel, Overland. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis. The family was served by Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, De Soto. Funeral services for Margaret Mary Marler, 67, O'Fallon, will be held Thursday, July 30, at 10 a.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Burial will be in Leadwood Cemetery. Mrs. Marler died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at her home. She is survived by her mother, Rose Ann Seithel, nee Ornato; four sons, Michael Marler and wife Cathy, Jeffrey Marler, Terry Marler and wife Samantha, and Larry Marler and wife Wendy; three daughters, Karen Viehman and husband Tom, Vicky Zaganelli and husband Chris, and Joan Skelton. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Funeral services for Ted L. Shaw Jr., 82, Lake Saint Louis, were held Friday, July 24, at First Baptist Church, Lake Saint Louis. Burial was in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, St. Ann. Mr. Shaw died Tuesday, July 21, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Betty Shaw, nee Hendrickson; two sons, Steven Shaw and Bruce Shaw; and six daughters, Tamara Shaw Gossett, Darcy Shaw Carmody, Linda Shaw Marler, Pamela Mueller, Nancy West, and Brenda Reed. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Graveside services for John D. Smith, 58, Warrenton, were held Wednesday, July 29, at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis. Mr. Smith died Sunday, July 19, 2009. He is survived by two stepdaughters, Janet Crites and Robyn Jablonowski. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Funeral services for Wes E. Willman, 70, Lake Saint Louis, will be held Sunday, Aug. 2, at 4 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, from 12:30-7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 2, from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Willman died Sunday, July 26, 2009, in Joplin. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Willman; two sons, Rick Willman and wife Lisa, and Greg Willman and wife Darlene; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.
