Jennie P. Love 1937 - 2010 Jennie P. Love, 73, Wright City, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. Mrs. Love was born April 23, 1937, in St. Louis, the daughter of Peter Noto and wife Mary. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Preston D. Love Sr., one brother, Jerry Noto, and three sisters, Frances Copeland, Josephine Taylor and Rosemary Hoban. She is survived by two sons, Preston D. Love Jr., O'Fallon, and Michael Love and wife Mary Ann, Warrenton; one daughter, Pamela Love, Wright City; one granddaughter, Emily Rose Love; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Burial was in the Wright City Cemetery. Memorials to American Liver Foundation in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Merlin A. Kopmann 1930 - 2010 Merlin Aloys Kopmann, 80, Marthasville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at his home. Mr. Kopmann was born March 5, 1930, in Marthasville, the son of Herman Kopmann and wife Anna, nee Schwoeppe. He was united in marriage to Doris Gildehaus on July 28, 1956, in Washington. He was a lifetime farmer and a member of Pork Producers and Farm Bureau. He was also a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. Mr. Kopmann was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter-in-law, Sheila Kopmann, and an infant brother. He is survived by his wife, Doris, Marthasville; four sons, Donny Kopmann and wife Sherry, John Kopmann and wife Shari, Tom Kopmann and wife Ginger, and Terry Kopmann, all of Marthasville; three daughters, Peggy Parks Mirell, Marthasville; Mary Rehmeier and husband Dean, Augusta, and Theresa Flagg and husband Dave, Union; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends. A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Dec. 8, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Marthasville, with the Rev. Finbarr Dowling officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Turner 1916 - 2010 Marie Pauline Turner, 94, Warrenton, passed away at home in the loving care of her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Bud, on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010. Mrs. Turner was born Sept. 3, 1916, in Warrenton, the daughter of Frederick, nee Petersmeyer and wife Caroline, Nobbmann. She was united in marriage to Gilbert B. Turner on Oct. 8, 1938, in Warrenton. They celebrated 29 years of marriage. Mrs. Turner was a hairstylist in Warrenton for many years. She was a member of College United Methodist Church in Warrenton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert, who died in 1967, one daughter, Laura Jane Turner, three brothers, Louis, Frederick Jr. and Florence, and two sisters, Edna and Louise. Mrs. Turner is survived by two daughters, Jan Stelloh and husband Bud, Warrenton, and Nancy Dean and husband Roger, Melbourne, Fla.; four grandchildren, Derrick, Darren, Kristi and Kimberly; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Robert Determann 1930 - 2010 Robert "Bob" Determann, 80, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Mr. Determann was born Feb. 9, 1930, in O'Fallon, Ill., the son of Adolph Determann and wife Bertha "Bert," nee Thomas. In his youth he worked on his uncle's farm in O'Fallon where he learned the value of hard work and the importance of family. He was united in marriage to Marlene "Mickey" Belke on Jan. 25, 1952. They celebrated over 58 years of marriage. Before his marriage, Mr. Determann proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952, attaining the rating of Mineman 2nd Class and later serving with the Missouri National Guard's 175th military police battalion in Warrenton, where he attained the rank of 1st lieutenant. He was a retired tool and die maker and exhibited those skills of precision and craftsmanship in his hobbies, which included woodworking, where he constructed several pieces of furniture and other cherished items that now remain for his family to enjoy. Mr. Determann was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth "Kenny." He is survived by his wife, Mickey Determann; two sons, Mike and wife Judy, Baton Rouge, La., and Scott and wife Amy, Warrenton; three grandsons, Greg and wife Courtney, Jason and wife Emily, and Trent; one great-granddaughter, Taylor; other relatives and many friends. Graveside services were held at Warrenton City Cemetery on Friday, Dec. 3. Cremation services were provided by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Memorials to Evercare Hospice, 13655 Riverport Drive, Maryland Heights, MO 63043, whose loving care toward Bob in his final days and compassion shown to his family is truly appreciated, are preferred.
