Glenda K. Butler 1949-2011 Glenda Kay Butler, 62, Warrenton, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 at Warrenton Manor, Wright City. She was born April 7, 1949, in St. Louis, the daughter of Leo Lee Vaughn and wife Martha. On April 17, 1982, Mrs. Butler was united in marriage to Danny Joe Butler, in Warrenton. They celebrated 22 years of marriage. Mrs. Butler was a production worker for nine years at Charleswood Furniture in Wright City. She also worked as a waitress at Waffle House in Warrenton. She was a former member of Bible Baptist in Jerseyville, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Vaughn and wife Martha; her husband, Joe Butler; one daughter, Candy; and one sister, Linda Carden. She is survived by three sons; Rusty Curtis and wife JoAnne, Warrenton; James Hunter and wife Beverly; and John J. Butler, both of Eldon; five grandchildren, Jamie and Brandy Hunter, Rusty Curtis Jr., Alexander Curtis, and Drake Volkman; four great-grandchildren, Jessica and Steven Hunter, Dakota Cromer and Bradyn Fults; other relatives and dear friends. Murphy, 80, Wright City, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at Park Lane Nursing and Rehab, Wentzville. Mr. Murphy was born Aug. 25, 1931, in St. Louis, the son of Jack D. Murphy and wife Viola. He was a truck driver and Friend of Bill W. He was the owner of F&M Fireworks. Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his parents, Jack D. Murphy and wife Viola; one son, William John Murphy Jr.; two brothers, Michael Patrick Murphy and Joe Murphy; and two sisters, Virginia Mosher and Catherine Wilkinson. He is survived by his wife, Emilie F. Murphy, Wright City; three sons, Timothy Murphy, Modesta, Calif, Daniel Murphy and wife Connie, Charlotte, N.C., Dennis Murphy, Nashville, Tenn., and Steve Murphy and wife Rhonda, Clarksville, Tenn.; two daughters, Kathleen D. She was a homemaker and member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott Benoist and wife Kathleen; her husband, Robert F. Powell 2003-2011 Ryanna Nicole Powell, 7, Wright City, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. She was born Dec. 19, 2003, in St. Charles, the daughter of Brian Powell and wife Alice. She was a student at Wright City West Elementary. Ryanna was a child who had a big heart for giving. She was an honor roll student. Ryanna loved playing with dolls and at the young age of 7, wanted to be a teacher. She loved to go swimming. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Ramsey; and grandparents, Cecil Powell and wife Paula. She is survived by her parents, Brian Powell and wife Alice, Wright City; two sisters, Brook M. Powell and Paige E. Powell, both of Wright City; grandparents, Judy Ramsey-Sturdevant and husband Dan, Montgomery City; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her best friend was Ellie. Hoelscher 1928-2011 Virginia Ellen Hoelscher, 83, Holstein, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, in Warrenton. She was born Jan. 7, 1928, in Lincoln County, the daughter of Gilbert Raymond Eddy and wife Sarah, nee Elliot. On April 29, 1950, she was united in marriage to Frank J. Hoelscher in Troy. They celebrated 52 years of marriage. Mrs. Hoelscher worked for 20 years for the Division of Employment Security until retirement. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Holstein. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Eddy and wife Sarah, nee Elliot; her husband, Frank J. Hoelscher; and one sister, Muriel Dailey. The family was Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. George E. Walker 1955-2011 George Edward Walker, 56, Wright City, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake St. Louis. He was born Oct. 20, 1955, in St. Charles, the son of James Walker and Wanda, nee Brown. On March 25, 1995, he was unite din marriage to Debra Dotson, in Warrenton. They celebrated 17 years of marriage and togetherness. He was a 1973 graduate of Wright City High School and served his country in the United States Navy. After the Navy, Mr. Walker traveled all over from Myrtle Beach, S.C. to Los Angeles, Calif. He returned to the Wright City area in 1993. He graduated from Vatterott College with an Associates degree in applied Electronics. He then worked for Cenved until the company closed in 2007. Mr. Walker most recently worked for Four Seasons Pool and Spa in St. Charles and Wentzville. will remember Mr. Walker for his infectious laugh and easy going and helpful actions and spirit. His humility and graciousness made everyone he came into contact with feel welcome and happy. Please remember George when you raise a frosty glass of Busch. We will remember him as the love of our life. He was preceded in death by his father, James Walker; and aunt, Lovell Piatt.
