Julia Hampson 1924-2011 Julia Hampson, 87, St. Charles, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Delmar Gardens in O'Fallon. She was born May 8, 1924, in St. Louis, the daughter of Carroll Quinn and wife Julia. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hampson was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll Quinn and wife Julia; her husband, Joseph Hampson; one son, James Hampson; two brothers, William Quinn and Carroll Quinn Jr.; and one sister, Ocea Iten. She is survived by five sons, Joseph Hampson Jr., St. Charles, Daniel Hampson and wife Donna, Warrenton, Robert Hampson and wife Mary Ann, St. Charles, Vincent Hampson and wife Helen, Renton, Wash., and Thomas and wife Janet, Tupelo, Miss.; and four daughters, Julie Aubuchon and husband Roy, O'Fallon, Mary Beth Natoli and husband Dan, St. Louis, Kathy Genteman and husband Kevin, Wentzville, and Susan Smith and husband Marshall, Warrenton; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 10 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Charles. Burial was at Eternal Peace Cemetery in Wentzville. In lieu of flowers memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Charles, in care of Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385 are preferred. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Dorleen H. Joerling 1925-2011 Dorleen Hertha Joerling, 86, Wentzville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Progress West Hospital, O'Fallon. She was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Wentzville, the daughter of Edward Thiemann and wife Dora, nee Straatmann. Mrs. Joerling was a cook, member of Friedens UCC in New Melle, Ladies Fellowship, New Melle V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary and Mary and Martha Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Thiemann and wife Dora, nee Straatmann; and her husband, Samuel Joerling. She is survived by three sons, Gene Joerling and wife Florence, Jimmie C. Joerling and wife Vanita, and Don Joerling and wife Mary, all of New Melle; one daughter, Judeen Kutsko and husband Ron, New Melle; one sister, Doris Wildschuetz, Foristell; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Friedens UCC, New Melle. Burial was at the church cemetery. Powell 2003-2011 Ryanna Nicole Powell, 7, Wright City, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. She was born Dec. 19, 2003, in St. Charles, the daughter of Brian Powell and wife Alice. She was a student at Wright City West Elementary. Ryanna was a child who had a big heart for giving. She was an honor roll student. Ryanna loved playing with dolls and at the young age of 7, wanted to be a teacher. She loved to go swimming. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Ramsey; and grandparents, Cecil Powell and wife Paula. She is survived by her parents, Brian Powell and wife Alice, Wright City; two sisters, Brook M. Powell and Paige E. Powell, both of Wright City; grandparents, Judy Ramsey-Sturdevant and husband Dan, Montgomery City; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her best friend was Ellie. Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 8, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Burial will be at Wright City Cemetery, Wright City. Smith 1928-2011 Mary Ann Smith, 83, Warrenton, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Mercy Rehab. Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 14, 1928, in Detroit, Mi., the daughter of Elliott Benoist and wife Kathleen. She was a homemaker and member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott Benoist and wife Kathleen; her husband, Robert F. Smith; and one sister, Kathleen Wierzenski. She is survived by three sons, Robert Smith and wife Linda, St. Ann, Mark Smith and wife Lisa, Hazelwood, Ron Smith and wife Diann, Warrenton; four daughters, Mary Ann “Penny” Fischer and husband James, Warrenton, Paula Ann Strickland and husband Ron, Harrington, Kan., Judith Ann Schumacher and husband Richard, North Platte, Neb.; brother-in-law, James Wierzenski, Peach Tree, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 9, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials to Masses in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Graveside services for William Mikus, 56, Wentzville, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Wright City Cemetery, Wright City. Mr. Mikus died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, in Wentzville. He is survived by his father, William Mikus and wife Mary, Wright City. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Funeral services for Ethel M. Newman, 88, Wright City, were held Saturday, Dec. 10, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Mrs. Newman died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Progress West Hospital. Burial was private. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Newman and husband Hubert, Warrenton; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Funeral services for Sharon Bligh, 52, Foristell, were held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Mrs. Bligh died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at her home.
