Connie S. Runyon

1948 - 2010

Connie S. Runyon, 61, Warrenton, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at DePaul Health Center, Bridgeton. Mrs. Runyon was born Dec. 1, 1948, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Edmond Drake and wife Lois, nee Cherry.

She recently retired from St. Charles County Forensics Department where she was employed as a CSI examiner.

 Mrs. Runyon was a member of Warrenton Baptist Church.

 She was preceded in death by her mother, her husband, Larry H. Neuhaus, one son, Dennis Runyon, one sister, Sandra Jines, and two granddaughters, Caitlin Neuhaus and Jessica A. Runyon.

Mrs. Runyon is survived by her father, Edmond Drake, Warrenton; her husband, Ray Runyon, Warrenton; four sons, Larry Neuhaus and wife Michelle, and Timothy Neuhaus and wife Stacy, all of Warrenton, Joseph Runyon and wife Tonia, Old Monroe, and Leonard Runyon and wife Amy, St. Charles; two daughters, Bonnie Martinez and husband Buff, New York state, and Patty Timmermeier and husband Mike, Harvester; one sister, Cherry Miskell, Branson; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 6, from 3-5 p.m. at Warrenton Baptist Church in Warrenton. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Larry Nail officiating. 

 Burial will be in the family cemetery. 

 Memorials to Koenig Cancer Center in Lake Saint Louis in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.

 The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.

 

Martin A. Barnes

1922 - 2010

Martin Andrew Barnes, 88, Warrenton, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010, at his home.

 Mr. Barnes was born July 20, 1922, in St. Louis, the son of Walter H. Barnes and wife Martha, nee Thorpe.

He had been employed in the automotive industry.

Mr. Barnes served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, during World War II. He was a survivor  of Pearl Harbor. He was a member of Florissant American Legion Post 444 and Warrenton American Legion Post 122 and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton.

 Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Irma Barnes.

He is survived by one daughter, Marta Riedisser and husband Randall, Warrenton; two grandsons, David and Jonathan Riedisser; a dear uncle, cousin and friend; other relatives and many friends.

 Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 2, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton, with Deacon Ray Burle officiating. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

 Memorials to Disabled Veterans of America in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.

 The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warenton.

 

Alvin N. Krueger

1935 - 2010

 Alvin "Al" N. Krueger, 74, Warrenton, passed away unexpectedly at his friend's home in Hawk Point on Monday, July 26, 2010.

 Mr. Krueger was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Black Jack the son of Herbert Krueger and wife Olga, nee Fittje.

 He was united in marriage to Julia S. Skaggs on Oct. 3, 1980, in Houston, Texas. They celebrated 29 years of marriage.

Mr. Krueger and his wife, Julia, were the owners of JP Kennels in Warrenton for 14 years. He also operated Krueger Carpentry for 20 years. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Wes Krueger.

Mr. Krueger is survived by his wife, Julia Krueger, Warrenton; four sons, Mitchell Krueger and wife Kenia, Reed Krueger and wife Jill, and Dirk Krueger and wife Lisa, all of Lake Saint Louis, and Brett Krueger, Wentzville; one daughter, Tatia Krueger, Germany; four step children, Julia Biggs, Warrenton; Christina Jensen and Stephen Viers Jr., both of Boonville, and Anthony Viers, New Truxton; three sisters, Jeanette Monnig and Carol Pivac, both of St. Louis, and LaVera Mahoney, St. Charles; 21 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. at Hawk Point Baptist Church in Hawk Point.

 Memorials to the church in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.

Charles W. Price Jr.

1958 - 2010

 Charles W. Price Jr., 51, Mexico, formerly of Montgomery City, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.

 Mr. Price was born Oct. 18, 1958, in St. Louis, the son of Charles Price and wife Gloria, nee Travis. 

 He worked as a laborer in different factories around the area.

 Mr. Price was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two sisters, Pat Goebel and husband Moe, Jerseyville, Ill., and Kathy Sargent, Auxvasse; nieces and nephews, Michelle Butler and husband Paul, and Gloria Reagan, all of Montgomery City, Pat Hall and husband Bill, Mexico, Kathy Reagan and husband Mitch, High Hill, Michael Sargent, St. Charles and Robert Allen, Kentucky state; 13 great- nieces and -nephews; his ex wife, Dee and her son, Nicholas Kelling, Warrenton; other relatives and many friends.

 A gathering of friends was held on Monday, Aug. 2, at Harding Funeral Home, Jonesburg.

Rietta B. Diekamp

1920 - 2010

 Rietta B. Diekamp, 89, St. Charles, was born Oct. 14, 1920, and passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010.

 Devoted wife of the late Herbert A. Diekamp; beloved daughter of the late Edwin and Bernherdena Schemmer; loving cousin of Opal Twiehaus and husband Bill; dear sister-in-law of Leona Mallinckrodt and husband Ted, Elmer Diekamp and wife Lorene, Alvera Schmidt, Evelyn Kyle and Louise Gravemann and husband Virgil.

 Funeral services were held Saturday, July 31, at Friedens United Church of Christ, St. Charles. Burial followed in the Wright City Cemetery. 

 Memorials to Friedens United Church of Christ are preferred.
