Virginia Carter, 82, Warrenton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at her home.
She was born November 28, 1928 in Cave City, Ark., the daughter of C.R. and Noma (nee-Hardison) Haddock. She graduated from Arbyrd High School in Arbyrd, Mo. in 1948.
She was united in marriage to Troy Eugene Carter on June 5, 1948 in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 2001. They celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Mrs. Carter worked on her family farm and in retail.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an infant sister, Joyce Haddock.
Survivors include two sons Gary Carter and his wife Marilyn, of Warrenton.; and Ronnie Carter and his wife Cathy, of Juneau, Ala.; one daughter Debi Ringling and her husband Butch, of Warrenton; one brother Vernon Haddock and his wife Verna Sue, of Hollywood, Mo.; two sisters; Coyeta Robison, of Hollywood, Mo.; and Kathryn Jackson and her husband Harlan, of Leachville, Ark.; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main, Warrenton, Mo. 63383. Visitation will also be held Thursday, Aug. 18, from 4-8 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at Hollywood Church of Christ in Hollywood, Mo., Friday, Aug. 19, with burial to follow at Lulu Cemetery in Senath, Mo.

Edward Francis Chisholm
1929-2011
Edward Francis Chisholm, 82, Warrenton, passed away Aug. 15, 2011.
Mr. Chisholm was born June 21, 1929 in St. Louis, the son of Kenneth and Margaret Chisholm (nee Doyle).
He was a member of iron workers local 396.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife June Chisholm (nee Haig); his son Kenneth Chisholm; two brothers Robert Chisholm; and George Chishom; and his sister Peggy Chisholm.
He is survived by his son, Ed Chisholm and his wife Shari, of St. Charles; two daughters Kathy Corso and her husband Ted, of St. Charles; Denise Chisholm, of Warrenton; her brother Gordon Chisholm, of Maryland Heights; his sister Marion Walker, of St. Charles; grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Dorothy Singer
1939-2011
Dorothy Singer, 71, Wright City, passed away Aug. 15, 2011.
Mrs. Singer was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Warren County, the daughter of Joseph Stonebarger and Meta Charlotta Ruhr.
She was a waitress.
Mrs. Singer was preceded in death by her father Joseph Stonebarger; her mother Meta Charlotta Ruhr; her husband Lester Singer, Jr.; and her sister Julie VanZuyen.
She is survived by four nieces Nancy Haight and her husband Charlie, of Warrenton; Debby Birger and her husband Bernard of Collinsville, Ill.; Dianna Niemann-Harris and her partner Tim Riek, of Denison, Tex.; and Maliea Johnson and her husband Brian, of St. Paul; five nephews Todd VanZuyen and his wife Chrisite; Kenny Niemann and his wife Cathy; and Bill Niemann, all of Wright City; Shelton Singer, Jr. and his wife Debbie, of Moscow Mills; and Shawn Singer and his wife Stacey, of Wentzville. Many great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and her countless friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 17 at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
