Obituaries for Thursday, August 13 Edition Meta E. Lichtenberg 1918 - 2009 Meta Ernestine Lichtenberg, 91, Quincy, Ill., formerly of Hawk Point, died Monday, July 27, 2009, at Good Samaritan Home, Quincy, Ill. She was born March 8, 1918, in Truxton, the daughter of Henry Frederick Lichtenberg and wife Alvena Caroline, nee Bierbaum. Miss Lichtenberg was a graduate of Hawk Point High School and Central Wesleyan College in Warrenton. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from State Teachers College at Kirksville and a Master's degree in Education from University of Missouri-Columbia. She had been employed at the University of Hawaii in Oahu and Western State in Gunnison, Colo. Miss Lichtenberg taught in public school for 43 years in Troy; Keokuk, Iowa; Hammond, Ind.; Warrenton and St. Louis County. She then taught preschool for two years at Trinity Church, Quincy, Ill. She was a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary. Miss Lichtenberg was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Frederick. She is survived by one sister, Elsie Lichtenberg, Quincy, Ill; and cousins. Graveside services were held Friday, July 31, at Zion Methodist Cemetery near Truxton with the Rev. Steve Disseler officiating. Memorials to Good Samaritan Home, Quincy, Ill., are preferred. The family was served by Hansen-Spear Funeral Directors, Quincy, Ill. Pamela Bradbury 1954 - 2009 Pamela Bradbury, 54, Warrenton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Bradbury was born Oct. 1, 1954, in Missouri, the daughter of Dallas "Bud" Vermilye and wife JoAnn, nee Lee. On July 28, 1980, she was united in marriage to Danny Bradbury. They were married 29 years. Mrs. Bradbury was employed as a telephone operator for Verizon in Wentzville for many years. She was a member of Warrenton Christian Church, Warrenton. She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Donald Allen Vermilye. Mrs. Bradbury is survived by her husband, Danny, Warrenton; four sons, Danny Bradbury and wife Kelly, and Kyle Bradbury, all of Warrenton, Scott Bradbury, St. Louis, and Brian Bradbury, St. Charles; one daughter, Terry Hurley, Warrenton; her mother, JoAnn Jarrett, Warrenton; two brothers, Dennis Vermilye and wife Sharon, O'Fallon, and Bob Vermilye and wife Barb, Wentzville; one sister, Paula White and husband Irelan, Warren County; seven grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. A private family graveside service was held Wednesday, Aug. 5. Memorials to Warrenton Christian Church in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. William E. Smith 1942 - 2009 William E. Smith, 67, Truesdale, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. Mr. Smith was born Jan. 24, 1942, in Lincoln County, the son of Charles F. Smith and wife Mary Jane, nee Nelson. He was a printer for Bill Mack Press and later worked for Pepsi Company in Truesdale. He was a founding member of the Truesdale Outlaws. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Herbert L. Smith. He is survived by one brother, George "Jace" Smith, Lutz, Fla.; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were private. Arrangements for cremation were from Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Funeral services for Orville A. Gildehaus, 72, Marthasville, were held Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Ignatius Church, Concord Hill. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Gildehaus died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Betty Gildehaus, nee Meyer; his mother, Susie Gildehaus; three sons, Randy Gildehaus and wife Laurie, Jeff Gildehaus and wife Peggy and Kurt Gildehaus and wife Lana; one daughter, Diane Gildehaus. The family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington. Visitation for Jack Marsden, 84, Warrenton, will be held Friday, Aug. 14, at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro. Mr. Marsden died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009,at his home. He is survived by his wife, Mary "Ruthie" Marsden; two sons, Daniel Marsden and Philip Marsden; one daughter Julie Smith and husband Scott; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, from 1-3 p.m. at Harding Funeral Home, Jonesburg, for Vickie Tadlock Rogers, 47, Lander, Wyo., formerly of Jonesburg. She died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, as a result of a car accident. Ms. Rogers is survived by two sons, Zane Rogers, and Zack Rogers; her mother, Vera Gordon; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Harding Funeral Home, Jonesburg.
