Obituaries for Thursday, April 8 Edition Elizabeth Catherine "Betty K." Shaw, 56, Windsor, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Kansas University Medical Center. Mrs. Shaw was born May 19, 1953, in Troy, the daughter of Orestes Schlote and wife Catherine. On Sept. 9, 1972, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, in Milwood, she was united in marriage to Clayton Shaw. Mrs. Shaw graduated from Silex High School. She worked for Prudential Savings and Loans and The Missouri Bank in Warrenton, but primarily she was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of Hawk Point Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, antiquing, fishing, making apple butter and driving tractors on the farm. She loved to spend time with her family and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mrs. Shaw was a person who had a big heart and will be deeply missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Mrs. Shaw is survived by her loving husband, Clayton Shaw, Windsor; two sons, Michael Shaw and wife Carla, Windsor, and Brian Shaw, Sedalia; two daughters, Jennifer Schneider and husband Jeff, Warrenton, and Jessica Claborn and husband Shannon, Cottonwood, Minn.; four brothers; eight sisters; five grandchildren, Ebanie, Mitchel, Bailey, Ava, McKenna; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 21, at Hawk Point Baptist Church with the Rev. James Huffman officiating. Memorials to the Richard and Annett Bloch Cancer Care Pavilion at the University of Kansas Hospital in care of Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, 41 Farm Lane, Hawk Point, MO 63349 are preferred. Funeral services for Elsie Johanna Sherman, nee Linnenbringer, 86, Wentzville, will be held Thursday, April 8, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, New Melle. Mrs. Sherman died Saturday, April 3, 2010. She is survived by three sons, Patrick Sherman and wife, Diann, Thomas Sherman and wife, Darlene, and Robert Sherman and wife, Donna; four daughters, Donna Brakensick and husband, Wesley, Mary Lou Neal, Linda Stoehner and husband, Wayne, and Marlene Benne and husband, Norman; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Funeral services for John Otis Jones Jr., 53, Truesdale, will be held Friday, April 9, at Abundant Life Church, Warrenton, at 6 p.m. Mr. Jones died Friday, April 2, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Jones; five children; two stepchildren; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Visitation for Mary Virginia Schaper, nee Scott, 86, Warrenton, will be held Thursday, April 8, from 1-2 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Mrs. Schaper died Friday, April 2, 2010, at New Florence Care Center, New Florence. She is survived by two sons, Charles Schaper and wife, Marje, and Russell Schaper and wife, Sandie; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Funeral services for Donald Glen Fridley, 74, Defiance, will be held Thursday, April 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Defiance. Mr. Fridley died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital-St. Peters in St. Peters. He is survived by his wife, Jane Fridley; one son, Michael Fridley and wife Amy; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Funeral services for Chester Sylvester Stillman Jr., 79, Foristell, were held Saturday, April 3, at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Mr. Stillman died Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Parklane Nursing and Rehab, Wentzville. Burial was private. He is survived by four sons, David Ray Wallace, Dale Roger Stillman, Dean Roland Stillman and wife Kim, and Dennis Ross Stillman; other relatives and many friends. Visitation for Raymond Leroy Schmidt, 75, Wright City, will be held Friday, April 9, from 3-4 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Mr. Schmidt died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Parkwood Skilled Nursing, Maryland Heights. He is survived by one son, Brad Schmidt and wife, Libby; three daughters, Karen A. Schmidt and husband, Ron, Gretchen M. Stout and husband, Nathan, and Jennifer L. Reisdorf; other relatives and many friends. Lee Ann Cox, 46, a resident of the Emmaus Home of Marthasville, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington. She is survived by one brother-in-law, Neil Beatty; one niece, April; other relatives and many friends from the Emmaus Home in Marthasville. Cremation arrangements were provided by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. A private service will be held by the Emmaus Home of Marthasville. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
