Obituaries for Thursday, April 29 Edition Geraldine C. Kopp 1918- 2010 Geraldine "Geri" C. Heck Kopp, 91, Montgomery City, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at the Jonesburg Nursing and Rehab in Jonesburg. Mrs. Kopp was born on June 24, 1918, in Norfolk, Va. On Feb. 20, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert Wells Kopp. She was a homemaker and devoted mother and beloved grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Kopp was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert W. Kopp, an infant son, Stephen Charles, one brother and three sisters. She is survived by two sons, J. David Kopp, St. Louis, and Phil Kopp, Montgomery City; two daughters, Fran Zweifel, Montgomery City, and Stephana Holmes, Warrenton; four grandchildren, Rachel Angel, New Florence, Shawna Hadfield, and Kalan and Justin Kopp, all of Montgomery City; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. No public memorial services will be held, according to her express wishes. Mrs. Kopp chose to be cremated, her ashes quietly buried beside her husband in New Providence Cemetery outside Bellflower. Gary Mason Hughes 1954-2010 Gary Mason Hughes, 55, Warrenton, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, in Warrenton. Mr. Hughes was born Nov. 25, 1954, in Castle Point, a neighborhood of St. Louis County, where he completed 11 years of school, the son of Kenneth Edward Hughes and wife Hazel Eileen, nee Arras. On Nov. 23, 1974, in Jennings, he was united in marriage to Deborah A. Hahn. They celebrated 35 years of marriage. Mr. Hughes was retired from Fred Weber Construction. He was a member of Local 660 labor union, the Moose Lodge in Owensville and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his father, and father-in-law, Paul Hahn.He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hughes, Warrenton; one son, Kenneth Hughes and companion Bonnie, Warrenton; one daughter, Sherri Hughes and companion Danny; Warrenton; his mother, Hazel Eileen Page and stepfather, Frank, Hermann; one brother, Mike Hughes, Warrenton; one sister, Sharon Smith, St. Louis; two stepbrothers, Gary Page and wife Pam, and James Page and wife Patricia, all of Hermann; one stepsister, Terrye Reahr and husband Bill, Columbia; five grandchildren, Marissa, Derek, Daniel, Joseph and Miranda; his mother-in-law, Clara Hahn, Warrenton; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 28, at Martin Chapel in Warrenton with the Rev. William Thess officiating. Burial was in the Warrenton City Cemetery. Dierker 1983-2010 Schrell Nicole Dierker, 26, Wright City, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. Miss Dierker was born Oct. 26, 1983, in Troy the daughter of Mark Dierker and wife Brenda, nee Gillette. She was disabled and liked to spend time with family and friends. Miss Dierker is survived by her parents, Mark and Brenda Dierker, Truesdale; one daughter, Lavontre Dierker, Wright City; one sister, Aretha Dierker, Truesdale; one nephew; one niece; many cousins; other relatives and many friends. A gathering of friends will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, at Harding Funeral Home, 106 W. Lion Ave., Jonesburg. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the Jonesburg City Cemetery. Memorials to the family for the care of her daughter in care of Harding Funeral Home, P.O. Wright 1910 - 2010 Lloyd Eugene Wright, 99, High Hill, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at the New Florence Nursing Care Center. Mr. Wright was born Oct. 19, 1910, in High Hill, the son of Eugene Wright and wife Cora, nee Anderson. On July 12, 1933, he was united in marriage to Martha Allen in Mexico, Mo. On July 9, 1922, Mr. Wright was baptized into the Christian faith by the Rev. Pasley of High Hill Christian Church. He was also member of the church. In later years he attended St. John's United Church of Christ in High Hill. Mr. Wright was an aircraft communicator under several federal departments for 15 years at the Columbia and New Florence airports. Later he was in the lumber business until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the High Hill town board, a school board member, the treasurer of Mount Pleasant Cemetery for 20 years, a member of the High Hill Historical Society and the author of "High Hill Memories." He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Martha, who passed away on May 11, 2007. Mr. Wright is survived by his daughter, Beverly Jean Ward and husband Leland Powell Ward; one granddaughter, Catherine Ward-Adams; three great-grandsons, Chad, Jarrett and Corwin Adams; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Monday, April 26, at Harding Funeral Home, Jonesburg with the Rev. Donald Deeker officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, High Hill. Casket bearers were Jim Ward, Fred Bohl, Gerald Cartee, Rodney Carroz, Ray Runkles and Jarrett Adams. Memorials to St. John's United Church of Christ Lift Fund in care of Harding Funeral Home, P.O. Wilson, 88, Marthasville, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington. Mrs. Wilson was born March 12, 1922, in Marthasville, the daughter of Hugo E. Hoffmann and wife Lydia C., nee Eichmeyer. On Dec. 24, 1949, in Marthasville, she was united in marriage to Philip Rodney Wilson. They celebrated 50 years of marriage. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Marthasville. She loved to quilt in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Philip, her sister, Marie Stuermann, and one grandson, Jeff Bockover. Mrs. Wilson is survived by two sons, Randall Wilson and wife Christine, Marthasville, and Neil Wilson and wife Marcia, St. James; one daughter, Lynette Woolley and husband Dean, Washington; one brother-in-law, Victor Wilson, San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren, Philip and Matthew Wilson, Christopher Bockover and Michelle Wansing; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Monday, April 26, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville, with the Rev. George Dohm officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials to Evangelical Children's Home in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383, are preferred. The family was served by Lichtenberg-Martin Funeral Home, Marthasville. Funeral services for Rosemary Allen, 83, Wentzville, were held Monday, April 26, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wentzville. Mrs. Allen died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at St, Luke's Hospital, Chesterfield. She is survived by one son, John Allen and wife, Mary; four daughters, Imogene "Genie" Allen, Mary Jo Mosley and husband, Daniel J., Laura Schlipp and Carrie L. Benkowich; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.
