John C. Musterman 1923-2010 John "Jack" Charles Musterman, 87, Warrenton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at his home. Mr. Musterman was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Muskogee, Okla., the son of Charles John Musterman and wife Nina Lucille, nee Smith. Mr. Musterman served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Musterman is survived by his wife, LaVerne "Vernie" Musterman, nee Haas, Warrenton; three sons, Edward Musterman and wife Sue, Columbia, Richard C. Musterman and wife Jodi, Hawk Point, and John W. Musterman and wife Peggy, Troy; one daughter, Janet Orf and Cliff Snodgrass, Warrenton; four grandsons, Joey and Nick Musterman and Mitchell and Evan Musterman; three granddaughters, Katy and Molly Musterman and Jennifer Grooms and husband Shawn; one great-grandson, Nolan Grooms; two great-granddaughters, Brianna and Vivia Grooms; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 29, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton, with the Rev. Milton Schaper officiating. Burial was in Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Oliver Franklin Miltenberger 1913-2010 Oliver Franklin Miltenberger, 97, Warrenton, passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at his home. Mr. Miltenberger was born April 12, 1913, in Cortland, Neb., the son of Herman E. Miltenberger and wife Elizabeth, nee Greinsmann. When he was 5 years old his mother died and he and his brothers and sisters moved to the orphanage in Warrenton. On Oct. 17, 1936, he was united in marriage to Evelyn S. Vogt in Warrenton. Mr. Miltenberger worked as a sheet metal worker at Binkley in Warrenton. During World War II, he worked in St. Louis at Curtiss Wright, making airplanes for the men to use in the war. In 1956 he moved his family to California where he worked as a sheet metal worker for 20 years until he retired in 1978. In 2007, he moved back to Warrenton with his son, Larry. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Evelyn, who died in March 2000, two sons, Dennis and Donald, four brothers and three sisters. Mr. Miltenberger is survived by one son, Larry Miltenberger and wife Mona, Warrenton; one daughter, Peggy Moncrief, Kent, Wash.; three grandchildren, Karey, Jason and Kelly; one great-grandchild, Ilahna; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 5, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Warrenton. Graveside services will be held at the Warrenton City Cemetery immediately following the visitation. Memorials to American Heart Association in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Wilbert Alfred Jasper 1928-2010 Wilbert "Whip" Alfred Jasper, 82, Augusta, passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur. Mr. Jasper was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Washington, the son of Edwin J. Jasper and wife Mary Elizabeth, nee Riegel. Mr. Jasper served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had been employed by Burton Duenke Construction Company as a carpenter and was a member of Local Carpenters Union 1839 for over 50 years. Mr. Jasper was a member of the Elks of Washington and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Augusta. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ethel Jasper, and one brother-in-law, William "Bill" Menke. He is survived by three sons, Karl Jasper and wife Debra, and Bernie Jasper and wife Sally, all of Marthasville, and Glen Jasper, Augusta; one daughter, Brenda Napier and husband Jim, Marthasville; one sister, Mary Ann Menke, Jefferson City; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, from 2-8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Public and Walnut streets, Augusta. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Augusta. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mike Stuart 1942-2010 Mike Stuart, 67, Warrenton, passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at his home. Mr. Stuart was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Glendale, Calif., the son of Glenn Stuart and wife Eileen, nee Hall. He was the owner of Stu's Countryside Convenience Store in Elsberry. Mr. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Stuart, Warrenton; one son, Chris Stuart, Warrenton; one daughter, Kelly Jo Sickle and husband Mike, Grain Valley; one grandson, Koleton Sickle; four granddaughters, Katarina Sickle, Mikaylan Sickle, Danika Sickle and Kelsey Carney; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, from 3-8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Warrenton. Memorials to St. John's Mercy Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul Society at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O.
