John C. Abbott Jr. 1931-2011 John C. Abbott Jr., 79, Warrenton, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011, at his home.  Mr. Abbott was born Sept. 7, 1931, in St. Louis the son of John C. Abbott Sr. and wife Marie, nee Bonner.  Mr. Abbott served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from Jan. 18, 1950, to Jan. 17, 1954.  He was a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Marie Abbott Sr., his wife, Betty Sue Abbott, one son, Jim Abbott, and one sister June Sizemore.  Mr. Abbott is survived by one son, John Abbott III and wife Mary, O'Fallon; one daughter, Julie Ulett and husband Tony, Warrenton; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Abbott, Fenton; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.  Memorials to American Cancer Society in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.  The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.     Rita Mae Hoelscher 1937-2011 Rita Mae Hoelscher, 73, Marthasville, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at her home. Mrs. Hoelscher was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., the daughter of Bailey E. Rigg and wife Lorraine R., nee Peters. She was united in marriage to Jerome F. "Jerry" Hoelscher on July 25, 1959, in Marthasville. They celebrated 51 years of marriage.  Mrs. Hoelscher was a homemaker. She sold insurance for Farm Bureau Town and Country Insurance in Warrenton. She was co-owner with her husband of the Little House Bed and Breakfast in Marthasville. She was a member of Immanuels United Church of Christ in Holstein and just finished serving three years on the church board.  Mrs. Hoelscher was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tom Rigg.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hoelscher, Marthasville; one son, Michael Hoelscher and wife Debra, Marthasville; one daughter, Kay Ratermann and husband Jim, Marthasville; one brother, Tim Rigg, Foristell; one sister, Roberta Irig of North Carolina state; one sister-in-law, Mary Rigg, New Haven; three grandchildren, Justin and Caitlyn Broce, and Natalie Hoelscher; other relatives and many friends. A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, June 9, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Immanuels United Church of Christ in Holstein with services following.  Memorials to the church in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Borgmann -1955 - 2011-  Steven Virgil "Porky" Borgmann, 55, Marthasville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011, at his home.  Mr. Borgmann was born June 18, 1955, in Washington, the son of Virgil John Borgmann and wife Mary Lou, nee Pruessner.  He was united in marriage to Joyce Lorraine Mentz, nee Elbert, on Jan. 4, 2001, in Union. They celebrated 10 years of marriage. Mr. Borgmann was an original member of the Phase Five Band, playing rhythm guitar. He worked at Motor Appliance in Washington for 38 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1559, Ducks Unlimited, the Hummingbird Club and Sons of American Legion, all in Washington.  He was also a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Marthasville.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Borgmann is survived by his wife, Joyce Borgmann, Marthasville; two sons, Dan Borgmann and wife Angela Marthasville, and Tim Borgmann and wife Angela, Washington; three stepsons, Scott Mentz and wife Lisa, Washington, Jeff Mentz and wife Dawn, Leslie, and Tony Mentz and wife Anne, Gerald; one stepdaughter, Samantha Shomaker and husband Ryan, Union; one brother, Mike Borgmann and wife Dawn, Marthasville; four grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; two nieces; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 8, at Lichtenberg-Martin Funeral Home, Marthasville. Burial followed at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Marthasville.  Memorials to the church in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Fast, 64, Wright City, will be held Friday, June 10, from 4-8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Fast died Monday, June 6, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Fast; one son, Edward Fast and wife Karrie; one daughter, Kim Fast and Billy Ivie; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.   Funeral services for Earl Joseph Waguespack, 82, Warrenton, were held Wednesday, June 8, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Mr. Waguespack died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Waguespack; one son, Darrell Schmidt; two daughters, Caryn Burris and husband Les, and Darla Key; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
